The Handicraft yard is a place where you can keep yourself busy when you’re not watching a concert. You can take part in workshops suitable for handicraft fans of all ages. In addition to ribbon braiding, which has become a festival tradition, workshops in jewellery, doll-making and toy-making are also held. As in previous years, you can also try out making colourful folk braids, and woodwork fans can have a go at some traditional Estonian woodwork. On Saturday, a lathe will be brought out, and you can try your hand at using it. This year, guests are also invited to make rhythm instruments and pendants out of bones, buttons, and bits and bobs, as well as casting tin plaques or folding origami.
