Etnosfäär and Estonian Youth Mixed Choir

Etnosfäär consists of three musicians with different backgrounds whose music mixes ancient and modern sounds. Acoustic and electronic sounds combined together form colorful musical stories. This music travelling in different spheres is gentle, yet full of little tricks and power.

During their two years of existence, Etnosfäär has stood out with their innovativeness and novel musical ideas. This year they will create another exclusive act for the XXVI Viljandi Folk Music Festival. Etnosfäär invites Estonian Youth Mixed Choir to the stage with them to celebrate the festival theme “Full on!” which reflects young and bubbling energy. Together with the most expressive sound of all – the human voice – they will look for new synergy to create unique soundscapes. They will melt together their serene energy and the result will be something magical and powerful.

Etnosfäär released their debut album “A mis tuu om?” in March 2018. Tunes from the album will be performed with Estonian Youth Mixed Choir at Viljandi Folk Music Festival. The name of the album (“What is this?” in Estonian) is inspired by group’s unique sound both on folk music scene and music scene in general. The central instrument of the band is keyboard which is rather rare in folk music. So, what is this? Come to the concert and find out!
